I use the plank as a support for me to chainsaw carve a standing 12 foot tall tree 'stump'. This plank does the job for me and fits. I do notice a tiny bit of flex when extended to the maximum length, but not enough to cause me any concern.

A little bulky to handle, but they all would be, nature of the product. Would like to see a locking mechanism when extended. If it was 3 to 5 feet longer, would have been perfect due to angle of support ladders.( Using over a dock slip).

If you own a boat and have a dock with a boat lift this is a must have item. I have seen many do it yourself 12-16 foot long wooden plank structures that homeowners use too get closer to the front of there boats to wash n wax. Usually very heavy kinda unsightly and that springboard effect is no pleasure. This extendable aluminum platform is more easily maneuverable, is really solid (I weigh 220 pounds) and you can either leave it in place or contract it and store it. I had intended to do just that but it matches the aluminum lift frame and bunkers well so I keep it extended. Also it is narrow enough to slide between the cables and vertical guides so that you can get under the boat for inspection and waxing.
This is a gotta have item for dock owners w boat lifts!
