    BEAUTIFUL c1860-WWI ROYAL DUX ART NOUVEAU #5499 BLACKBERRY URN VASE!
    Signed with the Royal Dux Austria signature pink triangle circa 1860-WWI, one of the earliest markings. Beautiful Art Nouveau matte glaze designed vase known as the Royal Dux Blackberry Urn. The gourd form with its leafy canopy at the neck spreading out to form a shallow well bowl, twin cascading branches of blooming blackberries decorating the exterior sides, ripe with gilt fruit, raised on a chamfered collared foot partially covered by sprays of leaves. Base marked with the number 5499 and a hand inscribed "I" as well as some unintelligible brown underglaze marks. No chips, cracks or mars with fabulous color remaining. Some base bottom shelf wear is noted. Minor interior age and storage dust and dander...nothing that will not clean away. Outstanding addition to any collection! Measures in at 15" tall overall.
