    Description

    Edward Penfield, the "Father" of the American Poster, created this very rare and original "The Great Arrow" poster print advertisement for the Pierce Arrow car company in 1907.  This car advertisement is viewed as one of the first modern car ads, as in this ad Pierce Arrow, a luxury car of the day, is specifically tying itself to a upper class country club style that its intended buyers would associate with.  This advertisement was published in Country Life in America, an exclusive magazine that was intended to be read by upper class/wealthy subscribers, in the December 1907 issue.  This poster print is completely linen backed and is ready for framing  The size of this poster print image is 10" x 14.125".   The size of the linen backing of the poster print is 13.5" x 18". This poster print will be an attractive addition for a Penfield/ early poster collector and is ready to be wonderfully framed.
    The poster print is protected in an archival print sleeve, will be shipped protected by stiff shipping materials and in a water resistant envelope and will be shipped using USPS First Class Mail in a padded envelope.
