For sale is 1 pc of an ISCAR T490 FLN D1.25-5-.50-08  INDEXABLE SQUARE SHOULDER FACE MILL, Heavy Duty!  MSC part # 02798502 (MSC has the wrong picture in its catalog). MSC is 437.0 ea without inserts, save a lot of $ here. These are 1 1/4" dia cut, 1/2" arbor, 5 flute, about 1/4" driver key slots for arbor.
PLUS, I am including 5 pcs of Iscar T490 LNMT 0804PNR, grade IC830 carbide inserts.
We have 3 of these here that we use and we keep 1 extra here for a backup, but have 3 more to sell.
We think these cutters are GREAT, as they are extremely heavy duty as we cut 316 and 304 stainless with them, and the inserts hold up very good as the sideways style creates more strength and therefore the inserts last longer-which saves us money in inserts(and the inserts have 4 cutting edges instead of only 2, which also saves us money in inserts, -the inserts are countersunk on both sides of the screw hole to be able to flip the inserts for 4 sided use). Of course these will also work on easier materials also, but they are great for the tougher ones. The last 3 pics show the cutter with the inserts in them.
This style of cutter is stronger as there is much thicker carbide behind the cutting edge-which helps the inserts last longer on tougher materials.
We are running Iscar inserts T490 LNMT 0804PNR Grade IC830 on the tough stainless, just to let you know.
