What tools are required to conduct a Resin Guard Service?
2 bottles of Resin Guard (1 bottle per tank)
Phillips screwdriver
How do I perform a Resin Guard Service on my Kinetico System?
Step 1:
In the brine tank you will find a secondary cylinder with a lid. Lift up the lid and pour one bottle of resin guard in the cylinder. Close the lid to the secondary cylinder and the lid on the brine tank.
Step 2:
Take a Phillips screwdriver and place it in the head of the softener. You will
press down
and turn the screwdriver clockwise
three clicks
OR
until you hear the water start running into the softener
.
Step 3:
Find your Kinetico Softener Model and Regeneration Time (minutes)
BELOW
. This will tell you how approximately how long your systems's cycle will last.
Once the cycle is finished, let the unit sit for approximately 20 minutes before repeating the same steps for the second tank.
