Description

The New Yorker Magazine, November 1, 1952, complete issue in great shape. Arthur Getz did the cover. This issue contains the first publication of the Tennessee Williams story "Three Players of a Summer Game," which would later be developed into his "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof"; this is Williams' only piece of fiction published in the NYer, and is eight years before the first edition of any book containing the story. This issue also has the great Charles Addams Halloween UFO cartoon.  The pages are crisp and clean, without a hint of foxing or any other staining, no writing, no creases, nothing missing, tight to the staples. Strictly graded Fine- as new, but with a 1/2" tear at the top of the spine; it is in great shape, put away when brand new (along with many others we have) by an obsessive New Yorker collector from whom we acquired it, untouched since new until now. We have many other beautiful New Yorkers online now so please take a look.
