Description
The New Yorker Magazine, November 18,1933, complete issue in exceptional shape. Abner Dean did the cover.Among the writers in this issue: Frances Warfield, Frank Sullivan, Phyllis McGinley, Clarence Day, Wolcott Gibbs, Mark Van Doren, and Paul Hyde Bonner.
The cartoonists include: Peter Arno, Perry Barlow, Gardner Rea, Barbara Shermund, Helen E. Hokinson, George Price, Gluyas Williams, Alan Dunn, Edmund Pearson, Robert J. Day, Carl Rose, James Thurber, and Leonard Dove.
The pages are crisp and clean without a hint of foxing or any other staining, no writing, nothing missing, tight to the staples. There are few faint stress marks at the bottom of the spine, but it looks like something you could pull off the newsstand today. One of the sharpest, cleanest examples of a vintage New Yorker we have ever had. It was put away new by an obsessive NYer collector from whom we obtained an otherworldly collection. Strictly graded Very Fine/Near Mint. We have many other beautiful New Yorkers online now so please take a look. All our New Yorkers ship in archival sleeves with backing boards. The images we show are of the actual magazine you will receive.
