I contributed to this issue. Page 36, “It Happened to Me.” When I interned at Sassy the summer of 1993, one of my jobs was to read “It Happened to Me” entries. For three months, nothing worked with my editors. Prior to my internship there, I had written this column for a journalism class at Ohio University. During my last day at Sassy, I placed my manuscript on my editor’s desk, and a couple weeks later, she called me to ask if she could publish it.
