This is the November 1917 issue of The Illustrated Review (“A Monthly Review of the World’s News by Camera”). The magazine contains 40 pages and measures approximately 10.75 x 14 inches. There are numerous articles, all illustrated by several photographs.
The magazine was founded in 1914 by E.G. Lewis. The Illustrated Review was printed using the new rotogravure process. The Illustrated Review was devoted to picturing (among other things) the World War on all fronts and its circulation quickly reached 600,000 copies. It featured the role of women in the war, overall coverage of the war, photographic coverage of the news of the day, fashion, etc.
