Meet artist Susan Doyle, a painter in the mold of great last Turn-of-the-Century painters who loved to paint by the seaside. Every summer she sets up her easel and paints, and captures the images of her young children, friends, & neighbors who show in vintage garb to be caught forever in pastels and oils.
"A PASSAGE TO ROMANCE"

Do you love lighthouses? Who doesn't? If so, you'll adore visiting the Rose Island Lighthouse on Rhode Island. This lighthouse shone its light across Narragansett Bay to Newport, this classic structure had been cared for by the same family for 3 generations until 1971, when it was deemed anachronistic and useless. It was saved by a group of local citizens in 1984, who have turned it into a museum that is open to the public.
If you like to travel, and eat well at the same time, why not stop by The Grey Havens? This wonderful inn, located near Bath, Maine, a family-run inn that combines the best of crisp Maine coastline views with delectable fresh food. Dine on freshly-plucked Maine lobsters with crusty bread and new potatoes, tempting desserts filled with local strawberries, raspberries, and of course the famous Maine blueberries. Recipes are included, so you can recreate these dishes at home.
